Carved Wooden Foot Shaped Ashtray with Copper Insert antique box This wonderful little solid brassI've found some other carved wooden feet like this one that served as ashtrays, but I haven't found one with a removable copper ashtray fitted and set on top. I think it is possible that the insert was custom made at a later date for this particular foot, which I found at an estate sale in Acton, MA in a house filled to the brim with a lifetime's accumulation with all sorts of wonderful things! I'd guess the foot itself is Southeast Asian in origin
