David Slater 4 1/4" Brass/Ebonite Fly Reel - J. Bernard and Son 9'3" 2 fly reel in excellentFor sale here is a scarce example of an early brass and ebonite reel made by David Slater and retailed by stamped J Bernard and Son. Diameter is 4 1 4". Spool width is 1. 6". I took the reel apart and found this reel to be in spectacular condition. Caliper check works perfectly and the pawl and gear teeth still retain their sharpness. No wobble or rub on the spool. Reel foot is 3. 4" long. Reel weighs 24oz but this includes the full size silk line
