It doesn't get much more up my alley than this little drawing--those faces

Photos document the entire contents laid out across two photos

slightly wonky face appear to be stained or painted very dark brown or black while the rest is a warm

pieces of whose head appear to have been glued and re-glued over the past 100+ years or so

it is quite irregularly cut and I would probably replace it with a new one
