The attractive small irregularly leaves are gray green with deep salmon pink edging. In our opinion, Shojo no mai grows stronger than Beni schichihenge and has more vibrant colors. Color holds well into the summer. Shojo no mai does best with morning sun afternoon shade, or zones 5 9. At maximum height Shojo no mai will grow to 10 feet.
