Ribbed brass "bullet" foot appears to be a replacement by looking at the the back side of the reel foot pillar (see pics)

I think it would also fish a #3 well too. Lettered with the maker, length and line weight, and the serial "96 2 12" on the butt. Faster, though delicate, action. Near mint condition with just a few tiny traces of use. The sleeve over ferrule fits nicely and the rod's finish is excellent. Wrapped in very dark burgundy which appears almost black against the black,
