There are cards in Battle for Baldur's Gate that designate a player as "taking the initiative", which reuses the dungeon mechanic from the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms set, putting the player in a dungeon called the Undercity, allowing them to gain benefits from maintaining the initiative
While it wont turn anyone into stone, like the snake-haired Medusa of myth, it does have deathtouch - meaning it can kill any creature through one instance of contact
Sword of Truth and Justice just so happens to have excellent bouses, including a +1/+1 counter and a proliferate on every hit
The packs are great, of course, but I also love all the bonus stuff
Smoky Lounge // Misty Salon, which generates mana for casting Room spells and unlocking doors is being seen as a key piece in potentially making this strategy work
You might gravitate towards some colors more than others, and in particular sets of decks think Simic, Sultai, Temur, WURG and URGB, you might end up with very similar decks and card choices if youre not careful
