The various Merlin cards offer advantages when they are played and when they leave play
'Exerting' characters is important - turning a card to its side allows you to send it on quests, challenge an opponent's quests, or activate powerful abilities
For Lorcana collectors who want their graded slabs back in hand quickly, this practical advantage alone is a strong reason to submit locally
You can also take the following actions as many times as you like, in any order: Exert the required amount of ink to play a card Activate a character ability Use an item effect Quest with a character card (see below) Use a character to challenge an opponent's exerted character (see below) Most of these actions require a card to be 'in play' before you can perform them
Some sub-themes include: the synergy between Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Donald Duck's nephews from Ducktales
Rise of the Floodborn booster packs and starter decks are relatively still in stock and Into the Inklands is available to pre-order now
