Given the low cost and the trigger for a +1/+1 counter being quite generous, this has all the makings of a very dangerous early-game card that could contribute to quite a few quick wins if your opponent can't deal with it and remove it from the battlefield within one or two turns.

I think its got a lot of potential in the 99 of various lifegain decks (both Trelasarra, Moon Dancer and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim spring to mind), but I could also see this as the commander of a creature-centric mono-white lifegain deck too

If you cast Arcane Proxy with its Prototype ability, you will have to pay 1 generic and 2 blue mana instead, and it enters the battlefield as a 2/1

Lifecraft Engine Being a vehicle makes Lifecraft Engine a tad bit worse than the following anthems, though its also safer from some forms of removal
